St John the Evangelist joins Our Lady of Grace and Queen of the Universe

Greetings:

To a very great extent, our parishes continue to treat abortifacients and contraceptives like they are no big deal!  Is it surprising then, that Bucks County Catholics are like the rest of America's Catholics in being ignorant of the grievously sinful nature of abortifacients and contraceptives?  How can they possibly understand the seriousness of the draconian HHS mandates, in such situations?

St John the Evangelist, Our Lady of Grace, and Queen of the Universe are carrying ads for providers of "Emergency Contraception" abortifacients:
On 5/20/13, I stopped by the St Clare Pharmacy and asked whether a prescription could be filled for a product which is a hormonal contraceptive.  After the clerk inquired as to what the product was, she was firm that it would NOT be filled.  Excellent!

To the best of my knowledge, St Clare Pharmacy is the only Bucks County pharmacy which can be appropriately advertised in a parish bulletin.  Even if a pharmacy says that it does not carry Plan B, it should not be be advertised, unless it can be ascertained that it does not deal in any abortifacients or contraceptives (cf., One More Soul, Pharmacists for Life International).   So....

St. Andrew (Newtown) has an ad for 7-11, which is a provider of condoms (See https://www.7-eleven.com/And-More/Health-Beauty/Sexual-Wellness/).  While condoms are not abortifacients, ads for providers of condoms are also inappropriate for Catholic bulletins.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Pastoral Planning Area 100

About Me

I am an enormously blessed husband and dad. In regard to my Catholic theological background, I have a certificate in social ministry & a master's degree (moral theology concentration), as well as a catechetical diploma from the Vatican's Sacred Congregation for the Clergy (Nope, I am not now - nor have I have ever been - a seminarian, deacon, or priest.). I feel particularly proud to have a mandatum. I also have a doctorate in Christian counseling psychology.

And yup, that's me!
