A Dramatic Account of One Individual's Discovery of the Theology of the Body

This profound work comes from an author whose theological credentials are from the School of Hard Knocks. Making no secrets or excuses or rationalizations for her past sins, Dawn Eden's honesty and faith shine through each page. What a treasure to find such a courageously written book, that showcases Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body" and Christopher West's commentaries.

Dawn Eden invites - and challenges - people to align their wills with God's will. The basic message of her book is an articulation of age-old wisdom for a new generation: "Through chastity - and only through chastity - can all the graces that are part of being a woman [or man] come to full flower in you" (p. 124 of the paperback). Her amazing, personal testimony shares how God supplied her with the graces to live chastely.

I recently tried to tell a few young people about this wonderful, little work. When confronted with the question, "What's so "thrilling" about chastity?", my mouth stayed open a bit too long - I just could not find the right words. Ms. Eden supplies a wonderful response on page 204: "Chastity brings many blessings, but if it's a thrill you're after, the greatest thrill of the chaste is the gift of wonder."
